Hawkeye Hill

I’ve been neglecting the blog section here a bit, but here’s a few photos from my recent Hawkeye Hill climb as seen in this video:

Here’s a view of the Groom Lake Road/Front Gate guard shack that is normally hidden from view.

The secondary set of towers near the front gate guard shack. A monitoring system and camera (pointed directly at me of course) keep watch over the area.

Hawkeye Hill is a great little hike that takes you to a place that your average Area 51 tourist visiting the front gate likely doesn’t even know is there. If you wait around till about 5:00 PM or so, you might get lucky and catch the employee bus leaving for the night on it’s journey back to the Alamo Sheriff Station.
